"Little
Critter" Purse
Amusing little animals make a small felted wool purse or a wonderful gift
pocket in which to tuck a treasured present. Sew a felted wool bumblebee
with hand-stitched perle cotton embroidery.

Watercolor
Basket Wall Hanging
This basket wall hanging is spilling over with seasonal flowers. Learn
the fuse, fold and stitch method using pre-marked, gridded interfacing
and make your own watercolor hanging. (No one has to know it was easy!)
For beginners, this method forgives wobbly rotary cutting and absorbs
fabric gaps and excesses. For watercolor veterans, it's a wonderful way
to speedily assemble a colorwash-style quilt.

Snippet
Sensations Bouquet
Create a quick, pretty wall hanging using this fun method of snipping
pre-fused fabrics. We will snip a floral bouquet in a vase in colors of
your choosing.

Hanky
Quilt Block
Do you have a collection
of antique hankies? Here is a project to use them without cutting them.
We will hand stitch those hankies in a butterfly shape, which will use
the entire handkerchief and not destroy it or its history. Bring your
collection of hankies or use the RJR fabric "Hooked on Hankies."

Silk
Ribbon Embroidery Lapel Pin
Create this lovely lapel pin. We will learn silk ribbon embroidery by
hand. Simple roses and leaves will be embroidered on a covered button
making a lapel brooch. All ages welcome! All supplies provided.

Beginning
Quilting: Rail Fence Wall Hanging
The Rail Fence block has enticed quilters for centuries yet is simple
enough to be your first quilt! The 41" square project will introduce you
to block construction, sashing and borders - all in the fabrics of your
choice. The excellent book by Alex Anderson contains inspiration and instructions
for five additional projects.

Kwik
Krazy Too
Make a traditional
scrap quilt (see below) using this efficient quick method. We will cut,
shuffle, chain-piece and then trim each block to a perfect 9-1/2" finished
square.
Stained
Glass Table Runner
Make a beautiful table runner using metallic iron-on bias tape. Choose
from several exciting designs. We use grid-printed fusible interfacing
to position color wash fabrics and then cover the edges with iron-on bias.
A very simple process for a super-glitzy result!
Free
Motion Quilting
This class will
give you the confidence to quilt your pieced projects with your own sewing
machine. We will explore the quilt sandwich, discussing battings and bastings.
We will learn our sewing machine's free motion capabilities and test drive
them. You will finish a muslin whole-cloth quilt 16" square with free
motion stitches.
Magic
Stack-n-Whack Quilt
No magic wands, smoke or mirrors. Just let a great fabric print do the
work with the help of basic rotary-cutting equipment. This fast technique
produces unique and unexpected blocks that will leave you spellbound!
Moderate sewing skills required.
A
World of Color
A look at the science, history and psychology of color will open both
sides of your brain to this powerful topic! Discover your true color needs
and how to develop a personal color language applicable to quilts, garments
and home decor. Bring along a color-stalled project for a jump start of
ideas!
Yellow
Brick Road
Easy enough for beginners,
this quilt frees your color sense and builds your design confidence by
using fat quarters, strip piecing and random selection Ð all resulting
in a real sweetie of a quilt.
